Not straight with Rekordbox. If you install the Beta firmware 2 on the MCX8000, it's suposed to work stand alone with USB disks created by Engine Prime (Denon's collection software). If you follow this procedure you can convert a CDJ USB to an Engine Prime USB, basically enabling the MCX8000 to function as a pair of CJD's. ENGINE PRIME is Denon DJ's powerful Music Analysis and Management software that helps you organize, categorize and import your music, either fully integrated from Rekordbox, iTunes, Serato and NI Traktor collections (including hot cues and loop info) or via drag 'n drop from existing music folders. Work with rekordbox files, pop into controller mode with Serato DJ Pro and play uncompressed audio formats like FLAC, ALAC and WAV. It was only two years ago that Denon DJ revealed the ground breaking SC5000 players to the world, a year since they followed it up with the incredible Prime 4 standalone player. The SC6000 inherits the on board hard drive bay from the Prime 4 which is great for venues to preload the players with back up music should the DJ have a nightmare with his media.

Please note that although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns for NI products. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors.
